This story is written by Paul Mason and illustrated by Ant Sang. This is an amazing book to read. It is called Bok Choy It’s about a young boy named Jacob and a poor Chinese miner. This book is based In 1865 South island Otago New Zealand. Heaps of chinese came to New Zealand and got treated badly.
This book is about Ah Sum who saved Jacob when he went fishing alone. Ah Sum took Jacob to his chinese hut to help him get better.Ah Sum saw Jacob looking around in the dark hut looking at the pictures on the draw.One thing that amazed me in this story was when Ah Sum rescued Jacob and helped him.
